# Can I edit my tribute after I've downloaded or generated it?

### Can I edit my tribute after I've generated or downloaded it?

Yes. Here's how it works, and why.

**Why your tribute locks when you generate it.** When you click Generate (or Complete), Eulogize creates your final, ready-to-download file. So the file you download is exactly what you approved, your design is locked at that moment and cannot change underneath you. You will always see a confirmation before this happens.

**If you need to make a change afterward, we can reopen it for you.** Just ask in the help chat on the site and we'll reopen your tribute so you can keep editing. Once you've made your changes, generate again to download the updated version.

- **Printable tributes** (programs, booklets, cards) reopen quickly.
- **Video tributes** can be reopened too. Because each video is freshly produced when you generate it, reopening regenerates the video after your edits, which takes a few minutes.

**If you've already reopened it several times,** we'll ask you to email our team at support@eulogizememorials.com so we can help you directly and make sure everything is right.
