How to Download Video Tributes
How to download your tribute video.
To download your video tribute click the "Complete" button in the top menu bar.
You can also click "Complete" via the drop-down menu on the tribute home page:
If you have already paid for your tributes, or you are using Eulogize via one of our funeral service provider professional partners, then this will take you directly to the downloads page. Otherwise, you will be taken to the checkout first to select which tributes you want to purchase. In some regions, you are also able to add video motion books loaded with your tribute video to your order.
💡 Tip: Before completing & generating, we always suggest sending a preview to family or your funeral professional for review. Click "Share" to send a digital preview video via email.
Can't See the Complete Button?
📌 Note: If you can not see the "Complete" button in the top bar you may not have download access. This could be because you were originally invited as a coeditor and only the original account creator can download, or if you were invited via one of our funeral service provider professional partners then they may have to activate the download for you.
Are You Ready to Download?
On the download page you will see the "Generate" button. This will convert your video in an mp4 file ready to download and play. To do this we need to lock the editor, so please make sure you are happy with your designs before you click generate.
FAQ:
Do I have to pay to download my tributes?
Yes there is a one time fee once you are ready to download. It is a one-off payment for that memorial, not a subscription, and there is nothing recurring. You can create and edit your tributes for no cost to make sure you are happy before you purchase. For more details about pricing see the pricing page on our website.
What format is the video, and can I play it without internet?
Your tribute video downloads as a standard MP4 file, the same format used by phones and cameras. Once it is on your computer you can copy it to a USB stick, an external drive, or another computer, and play it on a laptop with no internet connection needed. Most TVs with a USB port will play it too, though TVs vary, so it is worth testing yours. Many families play the tribute this way at the service.
How big is the file, and will it fit on a USB stick?
The finished video is usually a few hundred MB at most, depending on how many photos you have included, so any standard USB stick will hold it. If there is time, copy it across and test it on the actual laptop or TV before the day itself. If it does not open, VLC is a free player that opens MP4 files.
Why can't I make changes or edits to my tribute any more?
When you generate your tribute, the editor locks so your final file can be created cleanly. Any change made while the file is being produced would break it, so your design is locked at the moment you generate.
If you need to make a change, we can reopen it for you. Just ask in the help chat on the site and we'll reopen your tribute so you can keep editing, then generate again to download the updated version. Printable tributes reopen quickly; video tributes are freshly produced each time, so reopening regenerates the video after your edits and takes a few minutes.
If you've already reopened your tribute several times, we'll ask you to email our team at support@eulogizememorials.com so we can help you directly. If you're working to a deadline, say so in the help chat and we'll get it sorted.
