How to Use a Custom Background Photo

You can upload and use any photo as a custom background for your video.

1. Click the “Background” button in the purple edit bar at the top of the video editor.

Note: You are unable to select a custom background with the Reflection or Grace theme applied as they use each photo as it’s own blurred background.

2. From inside the background selection drawer, click “Upload Background”.

3. Here, you will see all of your uploaded photos, or you can upload a new image. Select the photo you wish to use as your background. Our editor will crop and size your photo to work as a background across all tributes. Name and save your background, and then you can apply it to your slideshow. You can also apply it to any title slides.

A landscape image that is not too busy is generally recomended to as not to pull focus from the key photos that will animate in the slideshow over the top.
